In 2006-2007, we assisted with the sale and acquisition of 15 new and pre-owned aircraft. In support of the sales/purchases, we provided production and completion/refurbishment oversight, interim and delivery inspections/acceptances, coordinated registration and helped place into service.
Aircraft sales and acquisitions are very complicated transactions, through which we guide our Clients along the following stages and aspects.
Analytical:
Define the aircraft requirements and mission profile, such as Cabin size, performance criteria such a range, endurance, speed, fuel consumption, environment compatibility, purchase and operating budgets.
Once the Client has decided on the aircraft make and type, ProJet assists in determining the purchase criteria, including airframe and engine time, cabin configuration, options and avionics.
We research all aircraft available in the market meeting these criteria, do a relative-valuation analysis and present the Client with a short list of aircraft to choose from.
Negotiation & Acquisition:
ProJet submits an offer on behalf of the Client, along with a mandate and Letter of Intent. In addition to price, offers need to specify visual inspections and demonstration flights, pre-purchase inspections and discrepancy remediation, support packages and the timeframe to close.
The contract needs to define the acceptance criteria and ensure against liquidated damages if the aircraft is not accepted.
ProJet prepares all necessary documentation such as Purchase Agreements and other contract documentation for registration, conducting title searches; aircraft damage history, lien searches and import or export of the aircraft as necessary.
As in the selling process, ProJet plays a critical role in defining the scope and depth of the pre-purchase inspection and providing experienced technical assistance.
ProJet can be retained to coordinate performance of the test and acceptance flight, deliver the aircraft and place it in service.
Production/Customization/Completion:
To ensure premier quality, fault-free/timely delivery and adherence to tight budgets, ProJet can provide knowledgeable and practical advice during every aspect of the aircraft’s production and/or interior refurbishment/upgrade/initial outfitting.
Pre & Post Acquisition Support:
ProJet recruits, screens, hires and helps retain all flight department personnel.
We also advise on manning levels and flight department structures.
ProJet can provide guidance on charter operations and Operator affiliation.
ProJet can guide flight department policy/procedures and monitor.
